High School Senior Portraits FAQs
1. How much will I pay for my Senior Portraits?
It depends on what you want within your package. Please see the session fees schedule as well as other pricing at the end of this document.
2. Do you submit my photo for the yearbook?
Yes we will take a CD to the school with the photo you chose for the yearbook. All you have to do is tell us the number of the image you would like to use. Choose an image that's your best "face" and one that shows at least your full head and shoulders without too much distraction (i.e. no sunglasses, hats, hands close to the face). We will submit your yearbook image to your school.
3. Where can we do the photo session?
Anywhere you would like. I have a studio as well as great outdoor locations at my home or we can shoot at a location of your choosing and we can offer suggestions for outdoor shoots as well.
4. How long does the session last?
Usually sessions are 1 to 1 ½ hours although they can go longer depending on the number of outfits you choose and the variety of backgrounds we use.
5. What is the best time to do my senior session?
Early morning or late afternoon is the best time for outdoor lighting. If we are doing strictly studio shooting then anytime is fine.
6. What do I need to bring to the session with me?
You can bring whatever you want…we want to capture the real you so bring those items that are important to you and define you at this point and time in your life. You may also bring a friend, relative, etc.
You will want to bring a few different changes of clothing and accessories. You may want to include one dressy outfit, several casual outfits, and/or a sports uniform if you are involved in sports, dance, cheerleading, etc. If you want photos in your cap and gown please bring those as we do not have the correct colors for each school. We do however have the formal drape and tuxedo shirt and jacket to do indoor formal shoots.
We further suggest that as you come across pictures you like, tear them out of magazines, print them out from the Internet, or collect them in a folder. You'll want to bring them with you to show us so that we can understand your preferred style, the look you are going for, and your expectations much better than words alone
7. What happens if the weather is bad?
If you are doing an outdoor shoot and the weather is rainy or windy we can definitely reschedule the session so that we get a good look for your photos.
8. What happens if I have to cancel my session?
We prefer at least 24 hours if you need to cancel. Things happen and situations arise so cancelling is not that big of a deal; however we do advise rescheduling immediately so as you make sure you get a time to get your photos done.
9. When do I have to pay for my session?
Session fees are due the day of the shoot. Fees for what you order are due at the time you pick up your product. We accept cash, check or Mastercard and Visa.
10. When will my proofs be ready for viewing?
Proofs are ready for viewing either online or proof cd within 7 days of your session. Proofs will not be retouched for viewing.
11. When will my final product be ready for pick up?
Prints and CDs are available 7 days from the day your ordered them. Albums, coffee table books, and gallery wraps usually take up to 10 days after the day of ordering.
12. Are my images touched up?
Full retouching is provided for every photo purchased either for print or on CD. Proofs will not be retouched for viewing.
